DMA’s 2019 College Application Week!
2019 Theme: What Will Your Future Spell?
College Application Week 2019
DMA is a proud participant in the Delaware College Application Month program.
This is our seventh year of participation and we look forward to helping the
Class of 2020 reach their goal of attending college. Our goal is to help each
cadet in the senior class to develop a plan for after high school - this may be a
4 year, 2 year, apprenticeship, military or trade program. The goal is everyone
has a plan that is right for them.
This page is full of information and resources to help seniors and their parents
to navigate the college application process. As an added bonus, during College
Application Month, all Delaware schools (and a number of out of state
schools) will waive their application fee for Delaware public high school
students. Specific instructions will be provided during CAW and posted on this
page.
The College Application Week schedule will be added shortly.
What should you be doing to prepare for College Application Week?
•
Compile your list of schools and look at their admission process
•
Register for the SAT or ACT (if needed)
•
Create a common application login (if you are applying to a school that
uses the common app)
•
Collect all the information you will need in the application process (Social
Security number, family information, etc.) ~ we will provide a specific list
prior to the CAW program
•
Meet with Ms. Faccenda to revise and edit your college essay! If you do not
have English during first semester, please make an appointment with Ms.
Faccenda. Be sure to write any other essays that are required for the
schools that interest you ~ save these in your email or to a flash drive so
you can access them at CAW

October 21 - 25, 2019 ~ This program is designed for two purposes:
1.
To create a college going culture in the school. We are a college preparatory school and our
intent is that all cadets graduate prepared to enter a post-secondary program. This program
will help cadets at all grades to become aware of different college options and encourage
them to think about college as a future option.
2.
To assist all our senior cadets with the application and financial aid process.
Alumni Notes:
