Semester Finals Next Week!

Good morning Seahawk Nation,

  • Next week, finals for the end of the first semester begin. This week, cadets should be ensuring they are all caught up on any missing assignments, quizzes or tests and be using their time wisely to prepare for exams next week. Finals are January 25th, 26th and 27th.  Dismissal is at 11:20am each day.  Only cadets who are scheduled for an exam are required to be in attendance during that exam block. If a cadet is leaving after the first exam block or entering school after the first exam block, they are required to have a signed parent note. If a cadet is leaving with another cadet or parent, the note must give permission for them to leave with someone other than their parent or guardian. If a cadet is absent for an entire day because they do not have exams scheduled, they should return the next day with a signed note stating they did not have an exam, so their attendance can be updated.

We will continue to monitor our numbers closely and should the need arise to move to a virtual setting, we will be prepared and ready to do so.

  • Sports report, from the desk of Mr. Jeanne. In the very near future, we will be scheduling a meeting with cadets and parents regarding sportsmanship and appropriate behavior at sporting contests. Parents and cadets are ambassadors of DMA. However, if you struggle to conduct yourself in an appropriate manner, you unfortunately will no longer be permitted to attend contests.
    • The women’s swim team defeated Archmere 92-78
    • The ice hockey team defeated Interboro HS 6-3 and AI DuPont 6-0. The team is on a three game winning streak!
    • The wrestling team defeated Charter School of Wilmington and finished 3rd at the Northeast Duals.

We hope you have a great rest of the week and as always, if there is anything we can assist with on our end, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Kindly,
Anthony Pullella
